1960s inspired looks from C. Madeleine's at last Saturday's vintage fashion showcase
at the Viceroy.

Over 70 looks were modeled spanning every era from the 1920s to the 1990s,
an over the top array from the eras of fashion represented in the C. Madeleine's
vintage designer clothing showroom and website that can be mixed with today's
pieces for a sophisticated balance of past and present. The stylish turnout made
for a fabulous afternoon with Danny Santiago, stylists, fashion designers and
fashion afficianados alike.

C. Madeleine's Madeleine Kirsh and supporters of Community Partnership for the
Homeless raised money for the new WOMENADE campaign, which aids area women in their
times of need. A great showing for a fun inaugural event!

We look forward to having you join us on Saturday, May 8^th, as Community Partnership for Homeless and WOMENADE of Miami host Take A Walk In Her Shoes at the Viceroy Miami Hotel. The Viceroy Miami Hotel is located at 485 Brickell Avenue, Miami, FL 33131. Valet parking will be available ($8). The attire is day time cocktail.

We have a visually stunning, one-of-a-kind vintage fashion show in store produced by C.Madeleine’s and renowned stylist, Danny Santiago. Looks spanning from the 1920’s through the 1970’s will be creatively revived on the runway to celebrate the inauguration of WOMENADE of Miami’s community-wide campaign and partnership with CPH. The show will begin promptly at 2:45 in the Great Room (located on the 15^th Floor)! Following the fashionshow, we’ve planned a reception on the beautiful pool deck featuring sushi stations, hors d’oeuvres, delectable desserts and yummy cocktails.

A silent auction during the event will feature fabulous luxury items such as a week stay on Seabird Key, “Your Own Private Island,” which is valued at $6,295. As seen in the current special issue of Travel & Leisure, Seabird was named one of 30 top secret island escapes. Other auction items include exclusive beauty products, restaurant gift certificates, exquisite jewelry, gym memberships, personalized styling and make-up sessions and much more.

On May 8, 2010, Womenade of Miami will launch its community-wide campaign with a fashion event called Take a Walk in Her Shoes. We aim to celebrate women and mothers from "all walks of life" with a vintage fashion show produced by world famous stylist, Danny Santiago (Sex and the City and Ugly Betty) featuring an exquisite vintage collection presented by C.Madeleine's.

What a wonderful way to celebrate Mother's Day!

What is WOMENADE of Miami?
WOMENADE of Miami is made up of women from all walks of life, who are committed to the mission of increasing revenue and awareness for Community Partnership for Homeless (CPH). CPH's mission is to provide dignity and hope to all so that no persons sleep on the streets of our community.

WOMENADE'S funds will target the women and children who reside at CPH looking to rebuild their lives. 40% of our residents are single men, 10% are single women, the other 50% are families, representing 3,000 people each year. Women at our centers are left impoverished and homeless due to unforeseen circumstances. Some reasons include domestic violence, divorce, abandonment, loss of single income, their husband is in prison, or have dealt with medical emergencies.

Always looking fabulous, Madeleine and Valerie owned the floor at the Miami Beach Convention Center for the Art Basel opening. Madeleine, is shown above wearing a 1960s beaded beret, with a stunning gold and black beaded silk caftan robe cinched with a black leather belt with a gold buckle. Her shoes were a 1980s peep-toe with a thick wrap around strap and a chunky heel. Valerie is shown below wearing a sheer, black, bandage shirt with a bateau neckline, a striking black and white pencil skirt, accented with wire structured ribbon, and a white, corset belt.

Bruce Weber in C. Madeleine's

Thursday, world famous photographer, Bruce Weber did a photo shoot in C. Madeleine's, for V Magazine. The fashion photographer (and occasional filmmaker) went through the 10,000 square foot store taking photos of the models. The models were dressed in everything from a kitschy, denim, superman jacket from the 80s to authentic polo riding gear. Bruce Weber is most famous for his ad campaigns with Calvin Klein, Pirelli, Abercrombie & Fitch, Revlon, Gianni Versace, and Ralph Lauren, as well as his work for Vogue, GQ, Vanity Fair, Elle, Life, Interview, and Rolling Stone magazines. She was overwhelmed with our huge selection of vintage designer pieces, and said in her travels had never seen a store like ours. We hope to see you again B!

Susie Bubble is one of the most recognisable, most respected and most widely-read fashion bloggers in the world. There is no wonder why she would mention C. Madeleine's in her blog! Here is what she said:

"The name of the post refers both to the location of the store and the purchase at the store. It was arduous getting to C Madeleine's, a vintage store that a couple of readers recommended on 13702 Biscayne Blvd in Miami but it was well worth the grotty bus ride up there and the feeling of not knowing where the hell I'm going. I'm now convinced that in every state of USA, a humongous trove of a vintage goodness exists seeing as I discovered the most wonderful vintage archive at Texas last year. C Madeleine's though is not just for looking through as a museum archive but everything is for sale and it's all minty vintage goodness. By 'minty', I mean high-quality, carefully selected and with historical breadth. Literally, name a Western Europe/American designer from 1930-1995.I very bluntly declared to the shop assistant there that it was quite frankly one of the best vintage stores I had ever visited. Yes, London has a fantastic selection but I hadn't come across one this well organised and well represented. You would walk in there with a very specific idea of what you're after and C Madeleine's will produce it. I felt like I needed a map to navigate through the store but it was quite conveniently sectioned off into...Period Categories: Victorian-20's // 30's-50's // 60's-70's, Thematic Categories: Cocktail/Party Dresses // Ethnic // Beach, Accessories are again neatly displayed...However, in such a cavernous vintage store, this doesn't mean it's cheap as chips and of course it could never be so when you have Alaia, Valentino, Chanel, Balenciaga and Thierry Mugler jumping out at you as well as a display of high craftsmanship especially in the older pieces."

Instyler wrote: "Rare Designer Finds cmadeleines.com From Nolan Miller to Norman Norell, here's where you can go to find rare pieces and authentic couture from the high fashion names of decades past. Earlier this week, model/actress Devon Aoki came into C. Madeleines after hearing the buzz about the store. She was on her way to the airport, and only had 5 minutes to look around. "I only have 5 minutes but I had to see the store." said the model. "Everyone is talking about it- they always tell me I have to check it out when I come to Miami". She then told Leslie [One of our C. Madeleines employees] more or less the stuff she is interested in, and told her to take photos of them and send it to her via e-mail since she was in a hurry to go. Aoki has modeled for the fashion houses Lancôme, Chanel, and Versace. She has also done ad campaigns for Chanel Ready to Wear, Chanel Couture by Karl Lagerfeld, Versace by Steven Meisel, YSL by Juergen Teller, Alessandro Del Aqua, Hugo Boss, Moschino, Ungaro, Fendi, Junko Shimada by Bettina Kimenda and Baby Phat by Kimora Lee Simmons.

Last friday, September 18th- Hip Hop artist Pharell and up and coming singer Rhea came into our 10,000 sq ft Vintage store. Rumor has it that Rhea might be the new female member of Pharrell's group NERD. Rhea was looking for Modern Pin up outfits for her coming performance. While Pharell browsed our designer luggage, and mens clothing. Rhea tried on numerous items, from rhinestone Bustiers to high waisted shorts. The singer bought SONIA RYKIEL gold ballet slippers, a red white and blue 1950's pin up bikini top, and a 1950's black rayon kickers. C. Madeleines clothing can be seen on the big screen in the motion picture Sex in the City Two. The motion picture's stylist came into our 10,000 sq ft. store and selected a large variety of fabulous vintage pieces. As seen in the photos, Samantha Jones [Kim Cattrall] wearing designer Miciti's 1980's grey snake skin spandex pants with mesh inlay from the vast collection of C. Madeleines. Barbara Becker's Wedding Dress from C. Madeleines.

On 6 January 2009, Barbara and artist Arne Quinze announced their engagement. They married on 9 September 2009 at their home in Miami, Florida. The Stunning Model/Actress Bride wore a blush colored 1950's strapless ruffled lace gown from C. Madeleine's. Last week (9/09/09) Madeleine was a guest at Barbara Becker's wedding to Arne Quinze. It was an amazing event held bayside at their Miami Beach home. Forecast was for heavy rain but it held off for the ceremony and reception. The paparazzi were flying in helicopters overhead while others had their long range lenses on boat floating by her estate. Like she usually does when it comes for important events, Barbara was wearing a spectacular gown she picked from C. Madeleine's vast collection. The model/actress/entrepreneur recently heard her exercise video had gone triple platinum. The couple are in total bliss and we wish them only love and success in their life together.
